Registration

There are several ways for you to book your LSL courses: |
a) Direct Visit at LSL registration office (Payment can be made in cash too in the office) |
b) By post, just send us the registration form and the accompanying deposit or the full amount (if you want some flexibility then you can write an application and we shall let you know if we will consider )
|
c) By fax or email (as an attachment). Please note that no registration is guaranteed until we have received payment.
|
For payment by bank transfer, please attach a copy of the bank transfer order to your registration form.
|
However you choose to pay, don't forget to state the name of the student, the course dates and the school’s invoice number.
|
You must be at least 13 years old to book a CBSE course and For CBSE language courses under 18s, you must attach a parental authorization form to the registration form, stating the contact details of the next of kin (in case of emergency) |
For other courses the age should be 18 and above. If under 18, you must attach a parental authorization form to the registration form, stating the contact details of the next of kin (in case of emergency)

Documentation: |
At the time of enrolment, the student will be required to fill a registration form; sign the code of conduct document (Annexure 1) and Fee Payment document (Annexure 2). |
Booking Confirmation
|
When you book a course, you will receive your booking confirmation by email, post or fax and an invoice detailing payment received and fees to be paid before joining.
|
All courses and accommodation fees are due and must be paid in full on the first day of your course at the latest.
|
Accommodation Booking Fee( If applicable )
|
We charge INR 2000 for finding and organizing your accommodation.
|
This fee is payable on registration.
|
In case of cancellation, this fee is non-refundable. |
If you choose to change your accommodation during your stay, you must pay INR 2000 again as the booking fee.
|
Visa
|
This is applicable for foreign students.
|
If you wish to stay for over 3 months and you are a national of a Non-EU member country, you must request a long stay visa (or long term student visa). On receipt of your booking fee and payment, we will send you a pre-booking certificate and a letter of invitation which will allow you to request a long stay visa. To receive a pre-booking certificate you must pay for all course and accommodation fees while booking. We only accept payment by bank transfer. Payment by credit card is not accepted.

Cancellation ( For Foreign Students )
|
If your visa is refused, the school will refund the amount received in full, minus INR 500 as administration fees and INR 500 as bank charges, after receiving the original document from the Indian Embassy. Refunds will only be made by bank transfer. We only accept original documents from the Indian Embassy. Copies and photocopies will not be accepted. If you cannot come for medical or professional reasons (we must receive a doctor’s certificate or a certificate from your company by post), we will postpone your stay for a period of 12 months on receipt of the certificate. No refund will be offered. |
Cancellation Conditions ( Indian Nationals):

In the event LSL decides to discontinue the Programme, then in such event it will refund the Fee received to the Candidate. |

Prices
|
The prices stated on the website are applicable from 01/04/2011 to 30/12/2011. We still reserve the right to change the prices at any point of time before the registration begins. |
Payment
|
To book with LSL you must return the registration form accompanied by the deposit or the full course fee. You will receive an invoice by post/by hand, stating payment received and payment to be made before your classes. If paying by bank transfer, please attach your registration form to the bank transfer form. All courses must be paid for by the first day of the course at the latest.
|
Payment Methods:

Payment must be made in INR.
|
You can pay by: Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard), Cheque made out to Lingvopedia Language Solutions Pvt. Ltd. For payment by bank transfer from a foreign country please add INR 500 to cover bank charges. To organize payment by bank transfer, LSL Language School will send you an invoice including all necessary bank details.
|
Important: However you choose to pay, please don’t forget to state the name of the student, the course dates and the school’s invoice number.
|
Penalty:
|
In case, the candidate fails to make the payment on or before the due date as stated above then a penalty of INR 25 per day will be charged.
|
Forfeiture of Fees:
|

Programme Commencement:
|
Prior to the commencement of the Programme, the Candidate is required to get himself/herself registered with LSL and clear all dues as per the payment plan. LSL reserves the right to change the Programme commencement date with prior intimation to the Candidate.
|
Attendance:
|
Failure of the Candidate to attend at least 80% of the sessions of each module in the Programme would constitute a breach of this Code of Conduct and the Candidate shall not be allowed to appear for the test modules conducted by LSL.
|
The Candidate must not attend any Programme other than his/her own without the permission of any of the Guide/Mentors.
|
Late arrival or early leaving from the sessions will not be permitted. For any urgent reason, leave may be granted at the sole discretion of the Guide/Mentor, subject to receiving a written application from the Candidate.
|
In case of any sick leave availed by the Candidate, the same shall be supported by a medical certificate. Failure to produce a medical certificate shall lead to the Candidate being marked absent from the Session.
|
Due Care of Property:
|
The Candidate shall be responsible for any of the personal property carried or brought to LSL and no liability of LSL would arise for any loss or damage caused thereto. The Candidate shall take proper care of the property of or property used by LSL. Strict action will be taken against the Candidate, directly or indirectly for causing damage to the property of or property used by LSL and the Candidate undertakes to compensate LSL for the loss/damage caused.
|
The Candidate shall adhere to the norms for utilizing the resources such as Bookstore, Computer , Projectors, etc.
|
Programme Material & Intellectual Property Rights:
|
All the Programme material provided to the Candidate shall be the sole property of LSL. The Candidate acknowledges and declares that it shall keep the Programme material, correspondence, information, other details (collectively referred to as “Intellectual Property”) to which it became aware during the Programme in strict confidence and any unauthorized use of it, either in whole or in part, direct or indirect, including but not limited to copying, distribution, delivery shall constitute a breach on the part of the Candidate and shall constitute infringement of LSL’s right in and to the Intellectual Property. The Candidate further recognizes and acknowledges that breach of this clause constitutes the infringement of LSL’s Intellectual Property and also injures the reputation, goodwill, privacy, confidentiality and business relationship of LSL all of which are not readily calculable and/or measurable in monetary terms and may cause substantial harm to LSL and therefore consents that in addition to the expulsion of the Candidate from the Programme, LSL may seek protective and equitable rights relating to or to stop such breach. The Candidate acknowledges that notwithstanding the expulsion or any penal action by LSL, the Candidate has undertaken to pay the Fee as agreed by him/her under the payment plan & LSL is entitled to recover the same as debt.
|
Candidate shall at all times recognize and shall not dispute the validity and ownership of the Intellectual Property of the LSL.
|
The Candidate shall take all steps as are necessary for the protection of the Intellectual Property and take such steps as are necessary to prevent any infringement or passing off action or any threatened or potential infringement. Candidate undertakes not to adopt, use any name, corporate name, trading name, title of the LSL or any of the Intellectual Property of LSL or any name or mark similar thereto in any manner whatsoever including without limitation on letterheads, visiting cards, advertisements etc. without the prior written consent of the LSL.
|
The LSL reserves the right to change the content of the Programme offered to the Candidate without assigning any reason whatsoever at anytime during the Programme.
|
General:
|
The student is required to carry and display identity card when in the premises of LSL as and when required.
|
The student needs to attend all guest lectures with due respect for guest speakers.
The student must follow all rules and norms that may be framed from time to time.
|
Dress Code:
|
The Candidate shall be responsible for attending the Programme in any decent attire, and conducting himself/herself in a proper and respectable manner. The Candidate shall be assessed on this aspect and non- adherence shall lead to a reduction in the average score at the end of the Programme.
|
Communication of grievance:
|
Student should feel encouraged to share their doubts, queries and difficulties with the faculty and mentor concerned.
|
Students should bring to the notice of the faculty and/or mentor any grievances or complaints which need to be resolved to enable them to pursue their course proficiently
|
Lateness
|
So as not to disturb class, students who arrive over 10 minutes late will have to wait until break time to join their class. In case of absolute necessity and in exceptional circumstances, the Teaching Staff may allow students to join class.
|
For any urgent reason, leave may be granted at the sole discretion of the Guide/Mentor, subject to receiving a written application from the Candidate.
|
Absence/Interrupted Training
|
By booking with LSL you commit to attending classes and respecting the school’s Rules and Regulations. In case of absence during class time (excluding absence for medical reasons and on presentation of a doctor’s note) you will not be refunded or compensated for lessons you have missed. Also, if you stop or interrupt your course and/or your stay in Delhi of your own free will, you will not be refunded or compensated.
|
Behavior
|
In case of bad or abnormal behavior, LSL has the right to dismiss the student at any time, with no refund or compensation.
|
Using unfair means in the evaluation process, using abusive language or behavior, threats, assaults, harassments, theft, use of drugs/alcohol or being involved in any other unlawful activity, would constitute a breach of Code of Conduct on the part of the Candidate and would result in penal action taken against the Candidate which may also lead to the expulsion of the Candidate from LSL. The decision of LSL shall be final and binding on the Candidate. The Candidate is prohibited to communicate to the PRESS or any other form of private or public media, any information regarding LSL and/or Programmes offered by it without the prior written approval of LSL.
|
Assessments & Certification:
|
All the assignments need to be submitted on time as specified by LSL. Assignment not submitted on time shall not be awarded any score.
|
During the Programme, the Candidate will be evaluated at the end of each module. This will be done through assignments, case studies, or any other form of assessment as may be added by the guide/mentors as per the need of the module. The Candidate is required to maintain an average score of 60% in each module of the Programme failing which the Candidate will not be awarded the Certification of the Programme. The decision of the faculty regarding the scores shall be final. Notwithstanding, failure of the Candidate to complete the Programme shall not entitle him/her for refund of Fee and also LSL shall be entitled to recover the outstanding Fee, if any, as debt either from the Candidate or from the Employer, as applicable under the payment plan. The Candidate acknowledges and undertakes that notwithstanding his/her failure to complete the Programme, the Candidate shall pay the Fee as agreed by him/her under the payment plan & LSL is entitled to recover the same as debt.

Personal Spending
|
We recommend that you get an international bank card and/or traveler’s cheques Or Cash.
|
Image Use
|
LSL may take photos of the students to be included in promotional material (brochure, websites, catalogues, etc.) unless the student or his/her parents say otherwise. This refusal must be stated when booking.
|
Claims
|
Only the school’s management has the authority to make the decision to refund or postpone missed courses. Any claims concerning services rendered by LSL, should be made by registered mail addressed to the Director. In case of litigation the parties agree that the case shall be judged under the jurisdiction of New Delhi.
|
Insurance
|
LSL refuses responsibility for theft, damage or loss of students’ personal effects. Both parties agree that LSL will not be disturbed in this matter. Before coming to Delhi you must check that you have been insured. Any student under the age of 18 must attach a copy of his/her insurance policy to their booking form. For those who are not yet insured, LSL recommends any company of their choice to have insurance.
